About Us

HoodieTee was founded in 2010 by Louise MacKenzie. Louise’s parents already ran Scotshirts, which had been going since way back in 1982, and after joining the family business, Louise decided to focus primarily on custom hoodies, and HoodieTee was born.

Since then, we’ve gone from strength to strength and we’re now one of the UK’s leading providers of leavers’ hoodies and school trip hoodies. But we’re still a family business and we remain focused on our primary goal – to ensure every personalised hoodie we make is special for the wearer.

Making Memories

At HoodieTee, we understand that custom hoodies are more than just a garment – they’re far more special.

With a Primary 7 child of her own, Louise is all too aware of this. When she watched her son Rory and his friends receive their junior leavers’ hoodies and saw the smiles on their faces, she could see how much their hoodies meant to them.

Many businesses just see custom hoodies as another product, but not us. Personalised hoodies are a rite of passage, especially for children leaving school and moving onto the next chapter in their lives.

Our custom hoodies are garments that last for years. They survive house moves, job changes, growing families and more. These are hoodies that the owners take out and wear decades later and enjoy the memories of those special days long ago.

It’s not just about memories and special moments – we also understand how a brand can benefit from strong brand exposure.

That ‘Special Something’

Louise, our designated “Merch Queen”, understands that custom merch will help to make any event or trip more special.

And she practises what she preaches – she’s always creating merch for herself and her friends. Whether it’s a Girls’ Ski Trip or a Mum’s Walk, she’s always got it covered.

Louise knows that garments help pull the group together and create a greater sense of belonging while providing a fond reminder of the experience for many years to come.

In fact, Louise still has her hoodie from when she got married back in 2009. It comes out of the wardrobe from time to time, and it has survived a house move, house renovation and two children. Every time she wears it, she smiles at the memories of the weekend and the fun they had.

Meet the Team

Our small team is like a family, and everyone has been with us for a long time. From Vicki, our Operations Manager (with us for 16 years) to Jamie, our Head Printer (with us for 18 years), we’re a tight knit team.

Then of course there are Rory and Finlay, Louise’s two sons aged 8 and 11, who help to keep the team up to date with the latest trends and are always sharing their valuable opinions.

Taking Pride in Our Work

The most important thing is that we genuinely care about the custom hoodies we create. We want you to love your order as much as we enjoy making it.

At the end of the day, we like nothing more than seeing our hoodies being worn by the proud owners, and it gives us an enormous sense of pride.
